Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido
Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido is a martial art training that coordinates the mind and body to work together as one, using a universal power called "Ki". It trains the individual to become one with the Universe, creating Happiness, Self Confidence, Love, and Respect. Discipline, Concentration and Harmony are also taught to both, children and adults. It teaches all students to use Ki in their daily life. Aikido has become part of Ki training.

Master Koichi Tohei Sensei, 10th Dan in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, brought Aikido to Hawaii in 1953. In 1955 he established dojos in Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. He is the founder of the Ki Society, established in 1977 for the purpose of spreading Ki principles throughout the world. Today Ki principles are taught in greater detail throughout Hawaii, the United States, Canada, Europe, as well as Japan.

     Seichi Tabata Sensei
Chief Instructor, Honolulu Ki Society
Chief Instructor Seichi Tabata Sensei, 8th Dan in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido, was one of the first students of Tohei Sensei in Hawaii. He made several trips to Japan to study with Tohei Sensei and brought his knowledge of Ki and Aikido back to Hawaii so he could help spread the Ki principles. Tabata Sensei is a full lecturer with the Ki Society, holds the Ki rank of Okuden, and is Chief Instructor, Senior Advisor and CEO of the Honolulu Ki Society. He has been teaching Ki and Aikido for over 50 years and is currently the only remaining original student of Tohei Sensei in Hawaii who is still actively teaching Ki and Aikido!
